Single Family residential sales in Florida showed a 13% increase in unit sales in September 2002 over the same period in 2001, while the increase in average price was 7 %. In Naples the increases in unit sales were a whopping 23% and the average price increased 19%! In Naples the average price of sales in September increased to $255,300 from $213,700. Home buyers are profiting from historic opportunities in financing (average for a 30 year mortgage was 6.09% versus 6.82% last year)and the renewed confidence in real estate investment, whether it be for a first or a seasonal home!
